Fighting Fantasy Gamebox

This is the first of nine Fighting Fantasy Gamebox published by Puffin Books.

Although this box is relatively common, it is hard to validate the print numbers of the books inside. For instance, collectors often swap box set books for better quality ones to increase the value of the set.

Reports claim that these boxes might have been assembled with books of various print numbers. Also, chances are that prices on the back should be the same (either 1.25 or 1.50£) considering that the sets were assembled at a specific time.

The set contains books 1 to 3 and we can safely assume the books would all have been published in 1983. Yet that leaves us with a lot of possibilities in that range:

• The Warlock of Firetop Mountain has at least 9 prints;
• The Citadel of Chaos has 10 prints;
• The Forest of Doom has 11 prints.
