This novel was written by a game designer and is therefore likely to be extremely faithful to the DOFUS universe.

Once upon a time... a young adventurer who dreamed of finding the six Dofus, the six dragon eggs coveted by everyone. You are that adventurer.

King Beldarion needs your help: a shadow hangs over the city of Bonta, which in its time sheltered the mythical Ivory Dofus. The oracles predict an invasion from a land that everyone is bound to visit one day, without any hope of return... Externam, the land of the dead. Thanks to an open portal between the two worlds, you have the power to explore these places forbidden to the living. You will discover a strange necropolis. This is where your enemy hides, a fallen monarch who chained the soul of the dragon Dardondakal in order to take his Dofus to the afterlife. Will you succeed in freeing Dardondakal to become the new guardian of the Ivory Dofus?
